ABOUT

A lover of all styles of music and a believer in the healing power of music, Austin has been playing music professionally for the last decade. With 20 years of experience as a guitarist and 10 years as the leader of the nationally touring band Roots of a Rebellion (or ROAR), Austin is off the road and excited to pursue one of his biggest passions: Teaching! Well versed in many styles and instruments, he’s happy to share his love for music and help students learn to develop however they see fit!

Roots of a Rebellion (or ROAR) most recently released a #1 Billboard Reggae Album called "Shapes of a Soul", had their name added to the infamous Wall of Fame at Exit/In, and have performed at Bonnaroo, Hangout Music Festival, Live On The Green, Master Musicians Festival and many first class venues across the country. Austin was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, where he studied piano, drums, and classical and fingerstyle guitar with Mort Melman who taught him to be a lifelong student and pursue whatever his heart desires. Austin is excited to pass this fun-loving, musical energy on to any and all interested in having the joy of music around for a lifetime of memories.

For In-Home Lessons: Add $10 to the price for every time the teacher will drive to your location. So if you want the “3 Monthly” rate at the convenience of your own home, add $30 to the total monthly price... “4 Monthly” would be an extra $40, etc.

NOTE: This rate varies per teacher and also depends on the distance to the student’s home.
